Because sometimes too much of a good thing is not enough.
While waiting in the UCSF hospital waiting room after my daughter’s liver transplant two ladies from her church walked in with big smiles. The people from the Elk Grove United Methodist church have amazed us with their love and caring. The pastor came to UCSF at midnight and stayed with Janee’ until 3:30 a.m. when she was taken to surgery. For the past 6 months people have brought food twice a week, walked the dog, stayed with her on Thursdays so the family could have a day off. When I expressed my amazement and gratitude, one of the ladies, Patsy, responded, “You can see why I left my home in beautiful Hawaii when I retired to come to this church!”
So that perhaps we’d be closer?
